2024 Elk in Rut Day Tours

Fall is rut season and the sounds of antlers echoing off the mountains is one you will never forget in beautiful Jasper, Alberta. The elk are in fierce competition in September and it is action morning and night with some of the largest elk anywhere in North America, photographers travel from far and wide to photograph the elk rut in Jasper National Park.

Your fully private photography tour will set you up in a variety of locations to get a range of elk photos. The tour is designed to maximize optimal elk photography by focusing on early morning and evening when the elk are most active. The tour is yours and can be tailored to your ability and activity level.

The entire time we are in the field, I will emphasize ethical wildlife photography practice. Your safety and that of the elk are of primary importance when we are in the field and I will continually observe the species we are encountering to look for any signs of stress.

As a highly acclaimed and multi-international award-winning wildlife photographer I will share my expertise and help you on your photography journey whatever your skill level. From understanding elk behaviour to capturing sharp photos and composing compelling images this trip is designed to improve your photography skills and have you leave with great photos and memories.

All tours are offered in Jasper, Alberta, Canada. Whether you have been photographing for years or just received your camera there is something for everyone in this tour.
