2024 Moose in Fall Day Tours
Nothing is more symbolic of the dense forests of Northern Canada than the moose. Moose are active and moving as they get close to the rut season allowing for opportunities to see several moose in one day! On this day tour we will look for opportunities to showcase moose in their habitat composing compelling images that tell the story of these majestic mammals. All my day tours are designed to improve your photography skills and provide lots of instruction in the field.
Fall is a beautiful time to photograph moose in Northern Canada, the trees are starting to turn color and early mornings may be cool allowing for opportunities to photograph the moose's breath.
Your fully private photography tour provides you access to private property in Lac La Biche to photograph moose. The tour is designed to maximize optimal moose photography by focusing on early morning and evening light. Although called a day tour, the tour is two 1/2 days starting in the evening of the first day and finishing on the morning of the second day. This allows you to travel to Lac La Biche, arrive before the tour begins, get checked in to your hotel, look for moose, stay overnight, look for moose again in the morning, and start your return home by check out time, minimizing accommodation costs. The tour is yours and can be tailored to your ability and activity level.
The entire time we are in the field, I will emphasize ethical wildlife photography practice. Your safety and that of the moose are of primary importance when we are in the field and I will continually observe the species we are encountering to look for any signs of stress.
As a highly acclaimed and multi-international award-winning wildlife photographer I will share my expertise and help you on your photography journey whatever your skill level. From understanding moose behaviour to capturing sharp photos and composing compelling images this trip is designed to improve your photography skills and have you leave with great photos and memories.
All tours are offered in Lac La Biche, Alberta, Canada. Whether you have been photographing for years or just received your camera there is something for everyone in this tour.
