A 8.5" x 5.5" notepad with a faded image of a fine art photograph of an eagle standing on a carcass having a feast.
This photo was taken in Lac La Biche, Alberta in the summer of 2022. I had seen numerous ravens circling an opening in the forest. As I made way there I spotted some coyotes moving away from the area. This was a sure sign that something had died and various species were scavenging the carcass. When I arrived I spotted two bald eagles sitting as sentinels over the dead ungulate. The soon took flight as I approached. I returned early the next day and set up and blind hoping to photograph the coyote family that had been going there to eat. Instead I was treated to a bald eagle who stayed at the site for almost 45 minutes giving numerous poses.
