Build a Wildlife Photography Business That Feels Authentically You
Guided mentorship for photographers ready to move from passion to purpose.

There are more ways than ever to earn income from wildlife photography. Prints, tours and workshops, licensing, education, markets, digital products and other opportunities can all become part of a photography business.

The problem is figuring out which of those opportunities actually make sense for you.

It is easy to spend months trying different things, investing money in products or marketing that don't sell, underpricing your work, or putting enormous amounts of time into something that was never likely to produce the return you expected.

That is where this mentorship can help.

We start with where you are now, what you want your photography business to become, and how much time and energy you realistically have to put into it. Then we look at your opportunities, your audience, your pricing, and what you are already doing to determine where your best opportunities for growth actually are.

You don't need to build the same photography business as someone else. You may want to create a meaningful side income that helps pay for your gear and photography trips. You may want to build several reliable revenue streams. Or you may be working toward making photography a much larger part of your income.

The goal is to help you build the business that makes sense for you while avoiding unnecessary trial and error.

This mentorship might be a fit if:

  • You know you want to earn more from your wildlife photography, but you're not sure which opportunities are actually worth pursuing.
  • You’ve got talent, but the business side feels overwhelming or unclear.
  • You've tried selling prints, licensing, tours, workshops, or other income streams, but the results have been inconsistent; you are not seeing real progress, and you're not sure what to change.
  • You have lots of ideas for your photography business but limited time, and need help deciding what to focus on and what isn't worth your time right now.
  • You're struggling with pricing, marketing, or selling your work without feeling like you're constantly promoting yourself.
  • You're already earning some income from your photography and want to figure out how to grow it more strategically.
  • You want to build a photography business around your own goals, strengths, and lifestyle, and not another cookie-cutter course that is not personalized to your needs
  • You're tired of piecing together business advice from YouTube, podcasts, courses, and social media and want guidance that actually applies to your photography business.
  • You value mentorship that’s honest, kind, and deeply invested in your success

Not Ready for Business Mentorship Yet?

If you're working toward earning income from your wildlife photography but aren't ready for one-on-one mentorship, join The Wild Lens Biz.

I share practical advice and real-world insights on selling prints, licensing, tours, marketing and building a wildlife photography business — without the hype or one-size-fits-all formulas.

What We’ll Work On Together:

This is not a set business program where every photographer works through the same steps. We start with your business as it is today, where you want it to go, and what is getting in the way. From there, we focus our time on the areas that can make the greatest difference for you.

Over the three-month mentorship, you will receive:

Four Private Coaching Calls — 60 Minutes Each

Each call is focused on your business and what you need at that point in the mentorship. We might work through your revenue streams, pricing, an offer that isn't selling, your website, marketing, audience growth, or a new opportunity you're considering. We identify the roadblocks, make decisions, and determine what you need to do next.

Weekly Support Between Calls

You don't have to wait until our next call when you get stuck or need some quick feedback. Between sessions, you can check in, ask questions, and get guidance as you put what we've discussed into practice. This helps keep you moving rather than losing weeks trying to figure something out on your own.

A Personalized Business Roadmap

Together, we'll develop a clear direction for your business based on your goals, strengths, opportunities, and the amount of time you realistically have available. The goal isn't to give you more things to do. It's to help you decide what deserves your attention, what can wait, and what may not be worth pursuing at all.

Action Plans & Resources

After each call, you'll have clear next steps so you know what to work on before we meet again. Where useful, I'll also provide templates, worksheets, and other resources to help you put those decisions into action rather than starting everything from scratch.

What You Can Expect From the Mentorship

By the end of our three months together, you should have much greater clarity about what you are trying to build, which opportunities are worth pursuing, and where to focus your time and resources.

That might mean refining the way you sell your prints, developing or improving a tour or workshop, getting clearer about licensing, strengthening your marketing, adjusting your pricing, building a new revenue stream, or deciding that something you have been considering isn't actually worth pursuing.

You should also have a clearer plan for what comes next. Rather than leaving the mentorship with a long list of things you could do, my goal is for you to know what your priorities are, why they matter, and what you need to do to move them forward.

While I can't guarantee you a specific amount of revenue, I can help you focus on the opportunities that have the most potential for your business, make better-informed decisions, avoid unnecessary trial and error, and spend more of your limited time working on the things most likely to move you toward the goals you have set.

Why Learn from Me?
Because I’m not teaching theory; I’m sharing what I’ve lived.

I’ve built a wildlife photography business from the ground up while working full-time, balancing life, and staying rooted in conservation ethics. My work has been published in National Geographic (Español), Canadian Geographic, and BBC Wildlife, and I’ve been named one of Canada’s Top 16 Wildlife Photographers. More importantly, I’ve mentored over 70 other wildlife photographers, helping them become more confident, clear, and capable in their photography and business.

I have developed multiple income streams from my photography, including prints, tours and workshops, licensing, mentorship and education, markets, and publishing. Some have worked extremely well. Others haven't, and knowing the difference has taught me just as much about building a photography business as the successes have.

I understand what it is like to have more ideas than time and to need to make careful decisions about where your effort and money will actually make a difference. That experience is a big part of how I approach business mentorship.

My background as an educator also shapes how I mentor. With more than 25 years of teaching experience, I don't believe in handing everyone the same business formula. I want to understand what you are trying to build, help you see the opportunities and roadblocks more clearly, and work with you to develop a strategy that makes sense for your goals, your audience, and your life.

And I will be honest with you. If I think an idea has potential, I'll help you figure out how to move it forward. If I think you're about to spend a lot of time or money on something unlikely to give you the return you're expecting, I'll tell you that too.

You don't need to make all the mistakes yourself to learn from them.

Is Business Mentorship the Right Next Step for You?

If you are looking for clarity on where to take your wildlife photography business next, I can help you assess where you are now, where you want to go, and which opportunities make the most sense for you.

Together, we can create a clearer path forward that reflects your goals, your available time, and the kind of business you actually want to build.

If you are ready, then let's start your business mentorship.
