Description This photo was taken in June of 2025. I was out in the mid afternoon looking for sage grouse and was surprised to come upon an American badger working on its burrow. Noting its location I came back later in the evening, position myself to capture the setting sun eluminating the badger should it reappear. I sat a respectful distance from its burrow and after abotu 45 minutes. It emerged, seeing me it ducked back down only to come back up a few moments later and remain out well after I had left and sun had set.
