Wildlife Photo Tours That Teach You More Than Just the Shot
There's a version of you behind the camera that you haven't fully met yet.
I won't hand you the shot. I'll teach you how to see. To help that version of you come into focus.
Most photographers spend years figuring this out alone. Missed light. Misread moments. Images that almost worked but didn't quite. You don't have to spend yours that way.
When you join me on a tour, a single day, a weekend, or several days in the field, you're not just getting incredible wildlife sightings, though you'll certainly have those. You're getting someone beside you who has spent over a decade teaching photographers how to see, so you don't have to learn it the slow way, on your own, one missed moment at a time.
I won't be off shooting my own photos while you find your way. I'll be behind you. Watching what you're pointing at, and why. Noticing when you're actually seeing the moment, and when you've slipped into click, click, click, hoping one of them lands. Helping you close the gap between what you're experiencing and what you're managing to capture.
Whether you're learning to read light differently, working through composition, or finally ready to stop guessing at your settings, I meet you where you are. No jargon for its own sake. No shame in not knowing yet.
Just clear, patient guidance, shaped around how you actually learn.
The pace is unhurried. The groups are small. The access is real.
No long hikes under heavy gear. No group so large you disappear into it. Just enough space to notice what's happening in front of you, and stay with it a little longer than most people would.
Because sometimes the photograph isn't the obvious one. It's the one that shows up after everyone else has already moved on. The one that asks you to wait.
And because a photograph is never just a photograph
we'll talk about what happens behind the image too. Ethical field practices. Conservation. The difference between a photo that's easy to take and one that still means something years from now.
What you'll leave with:
- A deeper understanding of light, wildlife behaviour, and composition
- Real confidence in the decisions you make in the field
- Images you're genuinely proud of, and the skills to keep improving
- A stronger sense of the photographic voice you're already building
- A connection to nature that runs far deeper than before
I won't ask you to just trust me. Here's what people have said, after the fact.
