3. How is shipping calculated?
Except for limited edition prints that are shipped by courier from the UK or US I ship all my merchandise via Canada Post or Purlator. As a small business I do not have receive large discounts on shipping like large retaill chains such as Amazon. The shipping costs rarely cover the full cost of shipping and handling. I am always looking for the lowest shipping cost nased on the shipping method chosen and in the event I am able to ship your order at a lower cost than applied at checkout I will refund you the difference.
4. Where can I see your work in person?
I do have a booth annual at the Spring sale and Christmas extravaganza each year at the Bold Center in Lac La Biche and maybe expanded to a few more sales in Alberta in the upcoming year.
Additionally a limited selection of my works are available at The Rustic Bean and Birch Hill Interiors both in Lac La Biche, Alberta.
WORSHOPS AND TOURS
1. Do you guarantee to see wildlife on your tours?
As much as I study wildlife behaviour you can never fully predict where wildlife will be on any given day at any given time. I do my best to pre scout locations prior to any tour. For my fox and great gray owl day tours I have not located a good den or a great gray owl that has remained in an area for an extended period of time (at least a month) I will cancel those tours at least one week before the date and provide a 100% refund.
Even if I have located a fox den or a great gray owl there is no guarantee on that day we have a wildlife encounter. With all of my tours I will do my upmost to put you in front of the wildlife, however failure to see wildlife on a tour is not grounds for a refund.
I also will never sacrifice the well being of an animal for a photo. There may be times we may not stay to take photos even if we see something if the animal is exhibited signs of stress.
2. What skill level do I need to participate?
I work with you whatever your skill level. Whether you are just beginning or have at it for years, I will help you improve your skills and move your photography to the next level.
I have worked with novice to award winning photographers.
3. What camera equipment do I need to have?
With each tour I suggest the minimum length of lens for the species we will be seeing. Ideally you should have a DSLR or mirrorless camera, and come with extra batteries and memory cards. A tripod is optional.
Lenses are really dependent on the tour but a zoom lens of 150-600, 100-400 or 100-500 is sufficient for most workshops. Information prpvided on each tour will specify what you should consider for lenses.
