Capturing the Light Weekend Workshop
2025 Capturing the Light Weekend Wildlife Photography Workshop
Transform Your Photography with the Power of Light
If you want to elevate your photography from good to extraordinary, understanding light is the key. This immersive wildlife photography workshop focuses on mastering light—how to capture it, create stunning compositions, and fine-tune your camera settings to harness its full potential. As an acclaimed, award-winning wildlife photographer, I’ll share my expertise and guide you on your photography journey, no matter your skill level.
What to Expect:
This one-and-a-half-day workshop offers an incredible opportunity to work directly in the field, exploring light in a variety of conditions and settings.
- Sunrise and Sunset Shoots: Each day begins before dawn, allowing us to capture the magical morning light. After a midday break, we regroup in the early evening to take advantage of the golden hour as the sun sets.
- Light and the Environment: Learn how light interacts with natural elements, from forests to water. Discover the best positions and angles to capture light effectively, whether working with silhouettes, rim light, or glowing landscapes.
- Dynamic Fieldwork: We'll study light as it happens, creating compositions that highlight its beauty—even if no wildlife is present. This tour focuses on light as the subject, making it a unique and inspiring experience.
Ethical Photography First:
While we work in the field, I prioritize ethical wildlife photography. Your safety and the well-being of the wildlife we encounter are paramount. I’ll provide guidance to ensure our presence doesn’t cause undue stress to the animals or disrupt their natural behaviors.
A Focus on Light:
Unlike species-specific workshops, this experience centers on composing with light as the star of the show. Whether we encounter wildlife or simply the beauty of the landscape, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how to use light to create unforgettable images.
Join me for this transformative workshop and take your photography to new heights!
