Description Photographed in Jasper National Park in the fall of 2023. I spent numerous hours that fall on the banks of the Athabasca River hoping to capture bull elk in the river. Located them in a river tells so much of the story of the elk rut in the park. The Athabasca river divides their rut area into two and the bulls frequently transverse the water rounding up females from either sides of its banks.
