Description This photo was taken in early December of 2021. It was coming to the end of the rut season for the bighorn mountain sheep. I had traveled to Jasper for a few days to photograph the rams during the rut. The bighorn will graze and ignore each other and then decide to chase a female and challenge one another. This male had been standing in front of a mountain face of granite. This made for a nice rich background to offset the ram as it called for ewes.
