Description This multi-award-winning photo was taken in September of 2021. This large female coastal brown bear was on the beach before sunrise, She had dug herself into the sand and was waiting for the tide to recede to start fishing the salmon in the stream that flowed from the inlet, I was positioned across the stream from her laying on the bank when I took this photo. This image has been recognized in the NANPA Top 250, Remembering Bears Top 100, Top 100 in WildArt POTY in the category of Light and the winner of the Journal of Wildlife Photography Photo Contest in the advanced category of Sunkissed Photo Contest.
