Location Lac La Biche, Alberta, Canada

Description This photo was taken in May of 2023. A family of red foxes were denning in a log pile. Early in the evening the fox kits are usually active. I found a spot to observe so as to not disturb the family. These kits were lounging atop the pile as the rays of the setting sun filtered through the trees behind the kits.
