Description This photo was taken in the fall of 2021. We watched from atop the bank of a stream as a female coast brown bear tried to catch one of the last salmon running that year. We were the last group in the area as the salmon have mostly finished spanning and the area closes for the season after the span. This grizzly watch and tried for about 25 minutes to capture a salmon but with no luck. She would run, jump and dive but came up empty each time. She was incredible beautiful dripping water before she would shake to dry off her fur.
