Description Snowy owls are not the easiest to photograph on the wide-open prarires. Their white feathers blend in so well with the snow that it is hard to see them in the fields. When you do see them it is often harder to photograph them. Very skittish snowy owls take flight long most times before you even spot them making photographing them very challenging. So this truly winter scene I was very proud to capture.
